Our Achievements
- Publication of "Vanoushadhi Sampravah" book for the development of medicinal plants sector.
- Broadcasting of 'Herbal Help Line' program through Aakashwani to create awareness among people about importance of Medicinal Plants.
- Large scale registration of Farmers, Collectors, Traders & Manufacturers of medicinal plants with Chhattisgarh State Medicinal Plants Board
- Publication of cultivation techniques of 20 most important endangered species of medicinal plants.
- Establishment of 'Chhattisgarh State Unit' of 'Ayurved Vishva Parishad'.
- Traditional herbal healers are identified & documented all over the state through five days training programme for traditional healers are organized in different district of the State.
- An "Harit Ashtha" Project is initiated in central jails Jagdalpur and Bilaspur for rehabilitation of prisoners
- Training programme on herbal cultivation, processing and marketing for herbal farmers, collectors & Manufacturer is started through renowned institutions in the country from July 2009.
- "Pt. Din Dayal Upadhyay" award is established for 2nd year BAMS students for excellence in Materia Medica for identification & classification of active ingredient of MAPs.
- A research project on medicinal plant's cultivation technology is awarded to Indira Gandhi Agriculture University Raipur (IGKV).
- A marketing facilitation center project is also awarded to IGKV Raipur for training and capacity development of stakeholders.
- Establishment of e-herbal library with many e-books on medicinal plants.
- Establishment of e-herbarium of medicinal species.
- Establishment of processing ,storages and marketing center of medicinal plants at "Purkhoti Muktangan " at Raipur district is under progress.
- UNDP-GEF & GOI supported project on "Mainstreaming conservation and sustainable use of medicinal plants bio-diversity in Chhattisgarh State" is initiated in seven divisions of the State for conservation of globally significant "RET" medicinal plants species.
- "Aonla Campaign " Project for Plantation of 12 Lakhs sapling and popularization of Aonla Products is initiated in the State.
